Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam: February 2013
http://ashley-in-vietnam.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam. Saturday, February 16, 2013. Last week we went to Cambodia for 1) meetings and 2) to see some constructed wetlands that an organization is implementing in the Tonle Sap Lake. It was a really cool trip - besides getting food poisoning for the SECOND time in SE Asia. We spent most of our time in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It was full of temples and expensive but delish restaurants. The whole city is decked out for the King Father Cremation. Statue in a tree :).

Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam: Exit Seminar on Con Dao Island
http://ashley-in-vietnam.blogspot.com/2013/06/exit-seminar-on-con-dao-island.html
Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Exit Seminar on Con Dao Island. A couple of weeks ago we had our last Fulbright get together. Although I was hoping it would take place in Hue in the central region of Vietnam, Con Dao was a great alternative. I mean, who could complain about a conference on a very undeveloped tropical island? Wondering around the small town of Con Dao. Storm water drain (hopefully not sewage drain) draining into the sea. Hanging with Jennie and Raaka. That picture...

Gone a day speaking English exclusively. Changed the litter box lol. Been allowed to flush toilet paper (required to put in trash can). Random Snaps...

I got glasses made ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET. Total cost - $28. It was SO COOL. Here, cutting the glasses with a pair of scissors. Goodbye coffee with Raaka! Corn milk. It was good! Happy Fat...

http://ashley-in-vietnam.blogspot.com/2013/06/goodbye-can-tho.html
Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam. Sunday, June 30, 2013. Yes, saying goodbye is a very hard thing to do. On the afternoon we left the hotel for the last time, everyone gathered in the lobby to see us off - Thao, Ngoc, Di Ba, and Vinh. Kiki joined the goodbye party too :) It was a little emotional for all of us, and most of us cried. Saying goodbye to Kiki and Little Kitty / Buttons / Buster Brown. Thao and Ngoc seeing us off. Seeing the lobby for the last time. Our last meal - vegetarian as always. Travel t...

Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam: April 2013
http://ashley-in-vietnam.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Ashley's Fulbright in Vietnam. Saturday, April 27, 2013. Why are there ants everywhere? On my toothpaste tube, in the shower, on my desk, on my papers, on me? Lol - what is going on? Tuesday, April 23, 2013. THE TOILETS: of course, there were several "western" toilets too, but those aren't interesting! One of the most interesting toilets Ive used. You go on the floor, then just wash it out the hole in the wall - WOAH. Another pee on the floor, wash it down the drain toilet. Getting close to our street.
