Before we got too relaxed, we had to lug all of our equipment from the maintenance spaces to the aircraft so we could transport it to Atsugi. A tiring couple of hours, to be sure, but those who weren't flying off the ship still got some good sleep the next morning. Lunch in the bird. yummy. Giving tours of the helicopter to each other. The beautiful port of Yokosuka. August 10, 11. Mary's flying the one in the back, and that's me in the front.

THIS TIME, WE'RE SAILING ON SAND. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. A Photo-Journey of Hong Kong. Let's see if I can actually do this in order. . . Our first view of the City was from the boat and through some rather thick haze, but at least it made for a pretty cool picture. We had to take ferry boats from the ship to shore. Here's the view of the lineup in the well-deck of the Essex. Check out that tunnel. . . this ain't no Carnival Cruise! The ferry to shore - Ben and Mark looking ready for some Liberty.
