February 2014 - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. This weekend was a heavy one. There are several people from different parts of my life who are mourning the loss or sickness of their babies right now. Miscarriage, infant death, aggressive cancer. All of sweet little ones. At the end of the weekend I sat back and just had thoughts I honestly didn't want to wrestle with. How do you explain things like this? Not even to other people, but just to myself? December 2013 - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Thursday, December 26, 2013. Christmas this year was different, yet wonderful. Since my parents are living in China, and David couldn't get enough time off of work for us to go to Texas, we had our first Christmas here just the two of us. We missed our family, but it was quite lovely. We spent Christmas eve outside at the park, eating Mexican food, and relaxing. Later in the evening we had friends come over for dinner and fun was had all around. A thrill of hope. But espe...

Bump snap shots - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/bump-snap-shots.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Monday, August 3, 2015. We played around and did a tiny "maternity shoot" ourselves in the baby's nursery. I didn't think I would ever want to take the time for these kind of photos, feeling quite large and all, but I'm glad we did it for documentation sake and I think some of them actually turned out pretty cute (.mostly the ones with the dog photobomber)! A Vintage Gal in a Modern World. Out with the old. Navy Days →. June 13, 2015. Everyone has one. Something to tie themselves over til they find the perfect whatever. It could be a temp job til you finally land the job you really want. It could be a piece of art hanging on the wall until you finally can afford that painting you’ve had eyes on. It could be a bunch of 50s novelty print skirts that don’t quite work for you, but you keep around til the best skirt ever shows up. This entry was posted in Hair.

June 2014 - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Refreshment for the weary. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. The day-to-day has been full for us lately us. Just the busyness of jobs, commitments, doctor's appointments, etc. Earlier this month we got to spend a long weekend up at my parent's house in Boone and it was just the refreshment we needed (especially after David worked 11 days straight prior). The weather was perfect and the family time was even sweeter because David's mom and sister traveled up there too. Wholly Redef...

http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Saturday, November 30, 2013. We hosted our 3rd annual 'Friendsgiving' this year, and it was such a great time! My sister also flew in for the week which was oh so nice. Food, friends, family, wine, and cornhole in the front yard. Just lovely. Dexter couldn't quite get close enough while David carved the turkey. Dexter livin' the life. Amelia wearing the best sweatshirt of all time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The good, the bad, and the blog. Saturday, October 26, 2013. Earlier this month we hosted a Hymn Sing at our house. It's an event we do occasionally at our church where we come together to potluck and sing hymns together. We had chili, cornbread, cool weather, friends new and old, guitars and violins all crammed into our house and backyard.it was a sweet time. As an adult i've really come to appreciate hymns. I love the lyrics, often so real and relatable. One of my favorites is Be Thou My Vision. And I ...

July 2013 - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Saturday, July 20, 2013. I am officially finished with my anatomy class and these are my ramblings:. I’ve used an electric saw to open someone’s rib cage and pull out their lungs. I’ve cried over the brachial plexus (more than once). I’VE HELD A HUMAN HEART IN MY HANDS…AND A BRAIN! I’ve learned words like ‘ salpingopharyngeal. 8217; and ‘ anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal. I’ve skinned a face. I think I’ve identified every muscle and bone in the body. A (mostly) Texas...

August 2015 - The good, the bad, and the blog
http://goodbadandblog.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The good, the bad, and the blog. Monday, August 10, 2015. The final days waiting around for the baby to come are loooong. Currently reading: Left Neglected. I have loved this book so far. I also read Still Alice. By the same author. She always writes about brain injuries in her stories and it's fascinating (to me). Currently cooking: Rack of lamb. I realize this isn't the most appetizing photo, it's the only one I snagged. It's much tastier than it looks. Monday, August 3, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
