In Rejection of Mediocrity. D3's Blog: Standing on God's Word ABSOLUTELY! Why Repeat After Me? Figure it out for yourself! A few days ago, one of my readers left a comment. That referred me to a blog called " GoodMath. Where one more liberal evolutionist had written a post. Attempting to debunk another one of Dembski's speculations. Of course, the speculation of Dembski was in no way related to my personal beliefs, but that didn't stop the reader! To one of my posts. It still happened, right? I wonder wh...

Where the hackers play: April 2006
http://zmodtwo.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Where the hackers play. Tuesday, April 04, 2006. Sorry for the delay in this blog. I'm a bit busy nowadays and that has affected the rate at which I blog quite drastically. Well I think now for a few months my blogging rate might be varying a lot. But I hope there will be at least one update per month. I found some of the discussions here quite good. Nice online community on Maths! Some school level maths. This is similar to the above but the blogs deal with slightly higher topics. Good Math, Bad Math.

Succumbing to peer pressure. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. But I remember very distinctly, a few months, or maybe several months, into therapy, worrying that I was permanently broken. Feeling like I was broken. And the main worry was, how can I ever trust myself to handle this level of stress again? I was specifically worrying about my defense, still a few years out, but surely, I imagined, tougher than what I had just come through, and how was I going to manage that without falling apart again? And I was ...

Succumbing to peer pressure. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Don't get your hopes up! After three decades (ok, realistically, only a little over a decade of actual dating) my inclination toward self-preservation is quite finely honed. I'm going to have some work to do over the next several months (years? Quieting it down so I can see a good thing staring me in the face. And this is a good thing. Posted by Megan at 9:29 PM. Gymno: Work-Life-Balance
http://gymno.blogspot.com/2012/04/work-life-balance.html
Succumbing to peer pressure. Monday, April 30, 2012. I want to be clear. I'm not advocating for workaholism. And I know that I personally have constant work to do to maintain healthy work-life boundaries. But I simply refuse to believe that work is always less important than life. Because my work is a part of my life. It is not sufficient to define who I am, but it is necessary. I am. A statistician. It is a piece of me. I chose this. I worked my ass off, for 11 years in university, for this. Someone i u...

Succumbing to peer pressure. Thursday, February 13, 2003. Met with Eric yesterday and immediately started feeling better about my (as-yet-barely-started) masters project. Still a lot of work to do and only (yikes! 43 days until I have to present, but significantly less stressed out than I was on Monday and Tuesday. Just another reason why I'm so incredibly lucky to have ended up with a boss/advisor like Dr. Youngstrom. Guess that's about all the procrastination I can afford right now.back to research.

Dreamed (again) that I was getting married. What does that mean? Posted by Megan at 7:42 AM. Thursday, March 06, 2003. And I don't really care if posting this rant makes me seem petty, no one else is awake around here and I needed to get it out of my system. Posted by Megan at 10:39 PM. Wednesday, March 05, 2003.

Succumbing to peer pressure. Saturday, February 01, 2003. I love hotels with internet access). I should probably know better than to post while drunk, but such is life. Arrived in Hamilton yesterday, went to Canadian Association for Culture Studies Conference this afternoon. Carrie gave a kick ass paper on Donnie Darko. Ate and drank too much at Chester's Beers of the World. All for now. Going for a cig. Posted by Megan at 6:57 PM. Thursday, January 30, 2003. Posted by Megan at 8:11 PM. Posted by Megan a...
