Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Will Tamiflu become a costly joke? After the news before the Christmas, Japan links Tamiflu to 2 teen suicides 64 cases of disorders connected to avian flu treatment. And 2 Who Died From Avian Flu in Vietnam Were Resistant to an Antiviral Drug. There is no further information about this problem. Certainly, I do wish that something like Tamiflu would free us from such type of epidemic. Unfortunately, we have seen so many cases that so called clinical trial or scientific pro...

Sunday, January 15, 2006. Our choice: starve to death or facing cancer. It is said that WHO has found that drinking coffee regularly would have the chance of cancer. We must trust WHO, it is not Korean scientist. Yet, the simple truth is that every modern thing is bad to our health. So, what can we do? Of course, we need their information. The problem is that there is no education for how to manage us with scientific discovery. Posted by F. H. Tong @ 2:20 AM. Friday, January 06, 2006. If a CEO or an acco...

Saturday, March 18, 2006. We need information and we need the truth. This may lead to unnecessary worries because the early news might not be proven. In the Internet age, we are victims. We are manipulated by journalists, outspoken scientists etc. I am not complaining their works. It is good to have information. But it is not good to have partial information. The problem is not what the news is; it is the presentation that matters most. Who are responsible to deal with such cases? I am watching such news...

good health: November 2005
http://healthhuman.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 27, 2005. Ten lies become truth, ten truths would backfire. It seems the ghost of 1918 would not go away. We are repeatedly advised about the pandemic. Perhaps we are not yet fear to death yet, so they are not satisfied. Perhaps governments have not put in ten or hundred billions, so they are not happy. If we want the governments to do hundred-percentage protection against something that may happen, I am sure that all governments would be bankrupted because there would be more to come...

Sunday, October 30, 2005. Health - the first statement by F. H. Tong. Although I am quite busy, yet I still thinking about the project that I have intended to do. It is about health. Of course, there are thousands of websites about health. But how many are without medical background? How many are not selling medicine or medical services either directly or as advertisement? How many are words from patients? With the blog, I shall continue to talk about this topic. Where is the income for this project?

Thursday, January 19, 2006. Will Huey bring satisfaction? As mentioned earlier, I am working on a book about printing photo with Kodak's Picture Maker. Publication has been postponed because Kodak has announced the G4 to replace the PM. I need to wait for the G4 to know if there is any difference other than the speed. Recently, Pantone has come up with the Huey, refer " In Photo Prints, Perfect Color In Means Perfect Color Out. Should I continue to work on this topic? Wednesday, January 11, 2006. At that...

Sunday, October 09, 2005. Image file name problem. The most common problem with digital camera is the filename. With certain period, we shall have duplicated image filenames. Renaming a file is easy, but with some tens or even hundred is tedious and easy to make mistake. To solve the problem, I have prepared a program to handle. The same problem will be faced by many others, so I decided to supply the program in my One Dollar Software House ( www.uscforesight.com. Posted by F. H. Tong at 1:43 AM. We must ...

Thursday, February 23, 2006. It is said that many new digital camera users are fond of taking self-portrait. Of course, we have found self-portrait in the early days of photography. Some may not take this as a new application. The problem is the analysis stated that no one could understand better than one about what is the best look should be. Well, for me, it is a fallacy. Certainly there is no rule about self-portrait and any one should be free to express any way one prefers. It is personal. The best w...

Monday, May 22, 2006. To be health is easy said than done. Dr LEE Jong-wook, Director-General of the World Health Organization, has died. He was 61 years old. His work about health for us is great. We can find the WHO fighting hard against SARS, bird-flu etc. However, as the top man of the WHO, how can he died at such age. That means to us that health is something that easily said than done. Sometimes, I do wonder why we cannot know our bodies better. No instrument can be better than our brain about ...
