A tour of the palace was very interesting, and very hot. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed so many of us put sweaters on and rented pants or skirts to gain access to the palace. Saturday, November 10, 2007. Thailand is an amazing place. The people are incredibly friendly and respectful. We are lucky to have the volunteers from Lions Club and their children to help us translate, keep us fed and overall well taken care of. We saw many monks on the second day of clinic. Monks are highly respected in this culture. Our male mission members were required to help the monks through clinic as women are not permitted to touch them. November 13, 2007 at 1:15 PM. She immediately went to dispense and asked for a quick lesson. She helped fit glasses, run product back and forth, and danced with recipients, celebrating every pair dispensed. Saturday, November 10, 2007. Thursday. A Special Gift of Sight Day. 4050 people received the gift of sight, many who had never had glasses before! Pierre Fay from wholesale had the honor of dispensing glasses to Buapa. A 60 year old woman with a -8.00 prescription who had never had glasses. It was a moving moment for both. Buapa. Said "everything is so much clearer.". Was scoping people and discovered a woman with a -10.00 prescription. Our incredible IMS. Team, led by Vikki Hasapopoulos. Congratulations...
