It is well-known that the traditional strategy of relying on consumers to self-report the strength of their perceptions about a company, product or issue can produce misleading results. Our research has shown that these timers produce a more reliable and direct measure of the real strength of consumers’ preferences as well as the likelihood that consumers will take action and purchase or recommend a product.
