Bridal Veil Falls

Easy to visit and very scenic. The Island itself is an interesting place to spend some time, and this waterfall is one of the highlights. One of the Lake Huron Waterfalls. Bridal Veil Falls is on Manitoulin Island. It is actually another Niagara Escarpment. Waterfall. The waterfall is easy to find, and easy to visit. It is in a small park just off of Hwy 540 in Kagawong, about 34 km from the bridge to Manitoulin. Is also on the island. Whitefish Falls. And Chutes Provincial Park.

Watkins Glen State Park. Watkins Glen State Park. Is in western New York, in the village of Watkins Glen, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen contains several small waterfalls, and is a really amazing place especially for those who like the sight and sound of rock and water. The path follows the gorge, going behind waterfalls, through tunnels and over bridges. The main waterfall is the Cavern Cascade. Despite its name, this is a 60' plunge falls. Lake Cayuga and Lake Seneca].

Cataract Falls

Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. Cataract Falls is in Ontario's Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. The park includes rolling terrain, parts of the Niagara Escarpment, and Cataract Falls along the Credit River. A stairway takes you down to the top of the falls, and a platform gives you a somewhat obstructed views of the falls. They are trying to fight erosion and the area around the platform is closed off, so trying to get a closer view would be inconsiderate. Just above the Main Falls.

Bracebridge Falls

May 27, 2007. North Branch Muskoka River. Another big, partially dammed, easily visited falls in the Bracebridge area. This is the most urban of the Bracebridge Falls. The falls are located in downtown Bracebridge. Ecclestone Drive crosses the Muskoka just above the falls. There is a parking area by the corner of Ecclestone and Entrance Drive from where you can access some walking paths that lead to the falls. You can reach either side of the falls by walking across the dam. View from roadside overlook.

Quantary 70-300mm, set to Macro, autofocus (I cant trust my deteriorating eyes anymore), and with ISO set to 200. Real trick was that it was an overcast day - colors seem to pop. Was happy for these, as I usually use a tripod as my hands tend to tremble these days - wide stance, breathe deep and exhale as I press the shutter. August 13, 2010 at 5:45 AM. Grand Marais, MI.
