My name is Julie, and I've spent a bunch of time in Iceland. These are tales about what happens when I get there. Saturday, March 9. I feel I owe everyone a tale about Iceland that doesn't involve rain. Jewel in the crown of Icelandic vacation experience. It's a geothermally-heated, man-made lagoon, and the water output is renewed every two days. LOTS of creamy silica salt to soak your achy muscles in, and the water temperature is between 37–39 °C (98–102 °F). Basically, you melt with steamy happiness.
