A lightweight data mapper which extends ADO.NET instead of hiding it. Supports both synchronous and asynchronous methods. The mapper also features detailed exception messages when an error happens so that you easily can understand what went wrong. Do note that this is a mapping layer and not a OR/M. Here are two extension points in the new library. The first point is the ITcpChannelFactory which are used to create the channels that are used for communication. In that way you can get a fine grained control over what goes on in the IO operations. There are two built in types of channels. TcpChannel which is used for regular communication and SecureTcpChannel which uses TLS/SSL as transport security. You can also customize which channels the library should use by changing the ChannelFactory property:.

The mapping layer works as extension methods on the ADO.NET API, i.e. you write SQL queries and the layer takes care of the rest.
