Newman's News: October 2011
http://newmansnews-melle.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 29, 2011. If you go back about a month, I celebrated, yet another birthday. It's funny how they seem to come every year even when you really don't need to have another one. This year I turned 34 years old! I can't be that old, I don't feel that old. What does 34 suppose to feel like? How did I get so lucky! Scott surprised me with tickets to the Broadway play, Mary Poppins. I LOVED it. He even arranged for my sister, Jaime to come up and watch the kids. It was great! We had a GREAT time!

Saturday, August 28, 2010. We were just wandering around town and found a race. Since its the Heiva festival time, there's all kinds of things going on. This was pretty cool. Each area has a representative that carries a huge stick decorated with coconuts, pineapples and whatever else is found in that area. The guys carry it on their shoulders and run with it! Growin' Some Roots: Arue Practice
http://growinsomeroots.blogspot.com/2010/08/part-3-practice-marche-race.html
Saturday, August 28, 2010. This was our fare (hale) in Arue. At night we just cruzed talkin' story, telling jokes, and had dance contests. We practiced at the park across the street every morning. It was pretty cool because we would have a little audience along the sidewalk and people would honk when they passed by. And Uncle Miko, a well-known dance instructor in Tahiti, even stopped by. Then we cooled off in the black sand beach! Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. August 28, 2010 at 11:22 PM.
