Gringa in Honduras

Sunday, September 11, 2011. As I'm no longer in Honduras, and no longer considered a gringa, this blog is pretty much dead. Gringa in Honduras: December 2010

http://www.gringainhonduras.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 27, 2010. I have now set up my Project 365 blog: http:/ antesandafter.blogspot.com/. Being home hasn't proved to go according to plan, but it has been nice. I've been sick with a nasty cold since I left Copan and a heavy snowstorm hit the east coast. With their powers combined, some of my travel was canceled and I actually ended up with down time (which was really good, considering the cold.). Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Feliz Navidad y prospero año nuevo! I've been finding mys...

Gringa in Honduras: June 2011

http://www.gringainhonduras.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 17, 2011. Not even dealing with culture shock yet. The last week has been filled with good memories and painful tears. I've spent time with many of the people who came to mean so much to me. I did not get in all the goodbyes I wanted, nor did I go on all my favorite hikes, but my days were full. They usually ended with the painful realization that it was the end and how much I was going to miss it all. Posted by The Guinea Pig. Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Gringa in Honduras: October 2010

http://www.gringainhonduras.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Last weekend was Kyle (and my Daddy's! The trip was great, I have no complaints. Plus we got to meet some locals (including Robinson Crusoe. He showed me three forms of ID, he's actually a Jr.). But I maintain it's brutal to travel 12 hours, get back late, and wake up for school the next day. Posted by The Guinea Pig. Sunday, October 10, 2010. Writing, hiking, building. I haven't really been getting much sleep this week. That's mostly my fault, but the nights I did actual...

Venezuela's Presidential Election 2012 | Gringa in Caracas

Venezuela's Presidential Election 2012. One of the best articles I’ve seen on the current political situation in Venezuela. I couldn’t have said it any better…. For more treatment, he named a council of state as a presidential consulting body. But the council’s murky role is now as much a source of morbid speculation as Chávez’s health is, and that has raised the level of tension and uncertainty inside the home of the western hemisphere’s largest oil. 1,010 more words. Although he has finished treatments...

This country is so big. Literally the USA is from "sea to shining sea," and in between we have all kinds of places and people from GA to IA to WA. Crazy! I have made many trips outside of the USA, but I am concious of the fact that I would really like to see more of the 50 states as well. Just rock and roll with it.
