Mad About Martha: Members
http://madaboutmartha.blogspot.com/2007/03/members.html
Friday, March 16, 2007. Who's Who on Mad About Martha. Maris has been a fan of Martha Stewart since 1996, when she saw the domestic diva’s E! True Hollywood Story. For as long as she can remember, Maris has loved to cook and throw parties and has recently come to terms with her secret addiction to craft projects. Maris also maintains a personal blog, In Good Taste. About cooking, food and life. In her "me" time, she enjoys running, knitting, yoga and a good latte. And edits Fit Fare. I've loved Martha fo...

Three Tarts: August 2005
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Chocolate sorbet to die for. If you have access to a Trader Joe's, go buy this sorbet immediately. That's right, grab your keys, put on your shoes, go. I would buy this even if it were full-fat chocolate ice cream, but it happens to be 99% fat-free sorbet. (Apparently vegan as well, for what it's worth.) You'd never guess, as deep dark chocolatey as this is. This stuff is intense. Posted by tara at 1:06 AM. Tuesday, August 30, 2005. More love for CHOW mag. Meanwhile, you're to...

Three Tarts: December 2005
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2005. If you want to try honey candy (don't blame me if it doesn't work out- I warned you about the blood requirement), here's the recipe:. I've also seen recipes that use 2 cups honey and 1 cup sugar. I've thought about trying that version, but I don't want to offend the ancestors. Posted by lis at 10:08 AM. Thursday, December 29, 2005. Deep, dark (and spicy! Have you ever wanted to pour a chocolate ganache into a cup, make sure nobody's looking, and just drink it? But since Tara ...

Three Tarts: reverse-engineering a lebanese dish
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2008/03/reverse-engineering-lebanese-dish.html
Monday, March 10, 2008. Reverse-engineering a lebanese dish. Because of my last-minute additions, the panko didn't stay crunchy, of course, after getting all mixed in, but that was OK because it ended up thickening the sauce just a bit. Posted by tara at 5:37 PM. Oh, and later I'll post the preserved lemon recipe that I use. Easy to do at home, and great in this dish. I plan on keeping a jar of these around at all times now! I'm so jealous. more details, please! The food sounds great too. Happy new year,...

Three Tarts: just in case you're sick of winter
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2008/03/just-in-case-youre-sick-of-winter.html
Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Just in case you're sick of winter. Labels: colors that aren't gray. How will this grow in a city that gets 13 feet of snow? Posted by lis at 7:00 AM. Is there a farmer's market where you're going? Deborah Madison thinks there are farmer's markets everywhere, even in Alaska, so maybe it will be good, market-wise. There is a farmer's market in ottawa and there are several local food organizations, so i think i'll be ok. except for the snow. Never Trust a Skinny Chef.

Three Tarts: tea in D.C.
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2006/08/tea-in-dc.html
Thursday, August 31, 2006. Tea in D.C. So now that Mark and I have moved across the country to Washington, D.C. and are neatly tucked into our tiny-but-wonderful Dupont Circle apartment, we're starting to turn our attention to exploring our new environs. Our favorite neighborhood gem so far is Teaism. A teahouse that serves an interesting mix of affordable Asian and Indian fast meals, along with a dose of American comfort food. Oh, and really, really good tea. Even so, I liked Teaism so much that I went ...

Three Tarts: Squirrel, it's what's for dinner
http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2009/01/squirrel-its-whats-for-dinner.html
Thursday, January 08, 2009. Squirrel, it's what's for dinner. Since moving to Ottawa, I have spent a lot of time watching squirrels scamper about. They are everywhere and they provide a certain amount of entertainment while I am sitting at my computer grading papers or standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes. They have also scared the shit out of me a few times by jumping up on the windowsill unexpectedly. The squirrels are everywhere. And they are sort of adorable. Posted by lis at 7:18 AM. Instead ...

http://threetarts.blogspot.com/2008/02/ive-managed-to-parlay-my-presidential.html
Monday, February 18, 2008. I've managed to parlay my presidential politics obsession into a blog post. Because I'm just that lazy. Courtesy of CHOW, now you have a handy-dandy reference guide. I have to admit, she might be the best candidate to go chow-hunting with. She sounds the least picky). Even Barack Obama gets in on the vegetable hate, avoiding beets. Et tu, Barry?
