Becoming is a process. November 22, 2011. And then it all changed. I LOVE that my little boys need me. ME. I remember after I had my #1, I was in the hospital, recovering miserably and all I wanted was my mom. Now, I am that. I am who these little boys want when they are lonely, sad, scared, sick, tired, hungry, upset, excited… pretty much most of the time. Unless they want to wrestle. Then they want dad. So, to be needed is one of the greatest, most fulfilling aspects of being a mom. November 22, 2011.

Becoming is a process. December 4, 2011. I have a 4 year old boy. That mean there is lots of experimentation with “potty language”. He thinks it is hilarious. We are working with him to only use those words in reference to that actual… potty thing. He really listens and tries hard to refrain from using those words. However it makes it hard when I say things like:. 8221; Oh…poop.”. 8221; You bet your butt”. And the one I really need to kick: ” crap”. All phrases I say at least once a day. Wall Art →.

The World According to Garff. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Nike had been showing signs of age for some time now, and hasn't been able to run with me since shortly after the twins were born. In the last few weeks of December he stopped eating, had a hard time controlling his body functions, lost 10 lbs (down to a final 49 lbs from a more typical 75-80), and was quickly losing control of his legs. I made the hard choice to put him down. I miss that dog. Finding a new one as good as him will be difficult.

The World According to Garff. Monday, October 27, 2014. The Next Big Event. I've done 2 1/2 marathons in the last 6 weeks. One was 1:28, good enough for 4th in my division; and last week, 1:44 for 1st in my division (it was a small race). And now I'm taking a break until my next big event: Baby #4 due May 17.
