Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Old and new haunts. Here are some little updates on us:. We are living with john's parents right now . . . until we figure out if we want to rent an apartment or just buy a house {AH, ADULT CHOICES! Everything said about 'living with the in-laws' is SO not true. my in-laws are the best and have made this as easy a transition as possible. John and i both found great jobs in our respective fields within a month of moving here. No dog yet. {sigh}. We love portsmouth and new hampshire.

Growing up, i had a huge box of crafting supplies- baskets, silk flowers, a glue gun {with which i burned my fingers during every use}, and even a little sewing box. that kit was recycled, project after project, for years. as an adult, i've learned more about little craft projects and ventured more into the diy world than ever before, and it has been so much fun! My absolute favorites {right now} /. Scalloped scissor set {similar- i love the stand! A7 notecards in luxe blush.

Saturday, June 22, 2013. We had our pictures taken. A couple weeks ago, john's family arranged for a photographer {who is also a family friend} to come to his parent's home to update their family photos. the last time they had photographs taken together was over a holiday weekend way back when there was only one grandchild and we weren't even dating, never mind married! The forecast promised rain, but it held off until well after we were finished our afternoon session. so thrilled! A CUP OF JO.

Once we got them home, we realized why they were such a bargain . . . dingy, dingy. for a while i really wanted to salvage the wool material because, wow, it could be so cool, but both the metal frames and the upholstery needed a major overhaul. so, that's what we did. a visit to ikea for material {did you KNOW that they have material?
