The Gurney Gazette: June 2010
http://gurneygazette.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Life of the Gurney family. View my complete profile. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. I'll let my pictures do the talking of my cake making abilities:. I made two cakes. The first was a lemon cake that turned out just fine and didn't require photographic proof, though maybe I should have just to show that I am capable of baking a cake. This is a white cake that didn't like coming out of the pan. A little frosting will hide the problem, right? Kyle figured things out. He decided to destroy the cake, well at ...

A few days ago my toes officially disappeared and the baby started kicking hard enough to be felt outside. I would have posted a picture, but my view of my tummy does not translate well to a photo. Life of the Gurney family. Salad, How I Do Love Thee. View my complete profile. Monday, February 15, 2010. Kiersta and Kyle had a good day, too. That's a LOT of Chocolate! Kiersta got a few small presents: a stuffed bear, a HUGE card, a mini-rubber stamp set, and a big ol' Hershey's Kiss). A Very Smiley but Messy Boy! Kyle, on the other hand, got nothing except lots of love. He seemed to enjoy it. Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Salad, How I Do Love Thee. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Instant online payday loans.

The Leghorns: Flashbacks
http://theleghorns.blogspot.com/2012/04/flashbacks.html
Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Sunday, April 15, 2012. The other day, I took Emma to the yogurt shop in town for a mommy-daughter date. Just the two of us. She was a little sad that day. She sat on the floor after breakfast that morning and said, "It's just not the same without Daddy here." My heart broke a little so I decided a special treat was in order for my sweet girl. July 2010 . yep, not last year like I thought, 2010! Cate - April 15, 2012 - 9 months. This was not the first time she wore ...
The Leghorns: A Little of This and A Little of That

Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Thursday, May 3, 2012. A Little of This and A Little of That. I'm a proud mama. How could I not be with my two little princesses. As Winter turned to Spring, or almost Summer, they were busy growing and learning new things. Here's a little mish mash of some of the things happening at our house.. My precious Emma Bean looking less like a baby everyday. Today I had an End of the Year conference with her teachers at school. Below is what I got to bring home:. And then...

http://theleghorns.blogspot.com/2012/04/lots-of-easter-goodness.html
Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Sunday, April 8, 2012. LOTS of Easter Goodness. Easter started with a beautiful sunrise this morning. Another holiday without Jeremy, but we have few of those left! Cate's first Easter basket lots of things for her mouth . no candy. Emma's Easter basket still not too much in the way of candy. Cate enjoying one of the treasures from her basket . Emma had just the ears of her chocolate bunny. She, very innocently, asked, 'Did you tear his face off, Mommy? Beautiful pi...

Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Enjoying the simple joys in life with her 'SillyAunt Jen'. This afternoon this phrase just popped into my head. I don't know where it came from, but I immediately knew where to go with it. Here. Maybe it was God's voice in my head telling me I need it and that Emma has it. Joie de vivre - The joy of life! What, in life, is better than enjoying a sippy cup of milk in high heels and a tiara on Christmas morning? It's amazing to watch!
The Leghorns: May 2011

Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Thursday, May 26, 2011. When I was a kid, every summer my brother and I would help my Grandpa plant tomatoes, peppers and chives in his back yard. He grew the best tomatoes I have EVER had! Erin, Jeremy, Emma and Cate. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. On Monday, I hit 28 weeks! 11 weeks to go at the most since I'll be induced by 39 weeks. My doctors aren't sure I'll make it that long, but I praying she doesn't arrive before 37 weeks. My first chance at seeing her face!
The Leghorns: September 2011
http://theleghorns.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Cate turned 10 weeks on Monday! Time sure flies. So last week I mentioned we got in a wee bit of trouble for not doing Tummy Time. I've been on top of it this week and I would like to report that she is doing quite well! She can lift her head up and can stay up on her arms for quite awhile (Though, the pictures below do not illustrate how high she can hold herself). Okay, Mom, I'll try Tummy Time because I'm just such a sweet girl.
The Leghorns: October 2011
http://theleghorns.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Holy Moly - she's 3 months! Not really a newborn anymore. It's bittersweet. I may never have another newborn, but she's so much more expressive these days, a lot sturdier, and overall, easier to handle. Cate just 2 short months ago - still red, tiny and a little wrinkly. Cate yesterday morning - pinker, definitely plumper and much smilier. Anyway, what do you think? Do they still look alike? And not to leave, Emmabean out . I will say, w...

Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Monday, April 25, 2011. We have officially been in our new home (my parents' house) for 2 weeks. Of course, based on the piles of belongings that have yet to be put away, it looks like we just arrived yesterday. I'll blame it on a very needy 2 1/2 year old and my limited energy level thanks to this pregnancy. Ummm . yeah. We'll go with that. Hope they're happy with it! J is headed back this way for a few days this week before making his way down to VA. Emma at Heinz...

Our New Life as Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Monday, March 21, 2011. It Finally Happened . This post is a little gross.*. Well I was going to just post a short little "I'm halfway done! Post today, but in the midst of my excitement of having 20 weeks or less of my pregnancy, it finally happened. Emma threw up for the first time. Ugh! Okay, maybe not the first time. She did throw up quite a bit of formula on our drive to Pittsburgh after her last surgery, but this was her first real puke! I picked her up, not q...

Life of the Gurney family. View my complete profile. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Sophomore year of college my roommate introduced me to the music of a balding white dude named Jimmy Buffett. Life has not been the same since, in a good way. Jimmy Buffett only performs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Unfortunately he always seems to be here on a Tuesday or Thursday and I have to work the next day because I tend to go to the concerts with my principal. Me with my flamingo hat. I still can't believe m...
