Hands All Our Own. Sunday, January 6, 2013. 10 And We Wait. I last hugged Our Girl on May 30, 2012. The team from my university and I were in Ethiopia until June 2, arriving back in Oklahoma on June 3. Inwardly I ache over not seeing her for over 7 months. I kept in touch with the director at the Orphanage over the summer. When I left he was going to attempt to contact her sister to ask permission for us to adopt Our Girl. The last I heard from him was August. He wanted us to be in prayer over the matter.

We have completed all paperwork for our dossier (application to Ethiopia to adopt Our Girl). There are two remaining pieces of paperwork outstanding that keep us from being “paperwork ready”. The first is our home study. It is completed, actually, but sitting in the inbox of the director of the home study agency who is off today. So, basically it works like this.
