The Harbor Springs History Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Visitors are also welcome to come in anytime during our regular business hours (listed below) to use our free access to the genealogy research site Ancestry.com. The historical society's regular year-round business hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are not open on Mondays. 300 - Children and Seniors. The year was 1885 and a movement was afoot in the Village of Harbor Springs. The village citizens proposed to the Board of Supervisors of Emmet County that the village could erect a building that would house both the county offices, the circuit court and meetings of the board of supervisors.
