Islands provided close to, if not the best diving I have ever done (Tonga coming in very close if not slightly better). We did 6 dives over two days - we were meant to do 7 but didn't. Have the stamina for a night dive after a 5:30am rise, a 3 hour bus/speedboat trip and 3 dives! The crystal clear warm waters of the Similan. Held much to discover. Bird flu free since 2001. Sunday, 26 August 2001. Hot off the press, I have a room! Out of the dosshouse and into my own pad in Drimnagh Dublin 12. I am sure the guys will be devestated to see me go after 3 months on their floor. I move in next Saturday. I will let you know all the details then. Fingers crossed I find some temp work to pay the bills. The room is really big and overlooks the garden (there was a cat in the yard! It has its own kitchenette too so I can live the life of a hermit if I want!

We set off from Dublin on Thursday morning in a 22-seater bus with 6 other people plus a really funky and spunky Irish tour guide who talked pretty much the whole trip about just about anything from potato fields to how his mother and father met! Bird flu free since 2001. Sunday, 23 December 2001. Back to Australia with no job, no money and living with my parents! The sun is shining though and it is so good to see everyone again. Elise and Annaliese greeted me at the airport with a big welcome home sign which was very exciting - no one has ever done that for me before!
