The 36-mile Hardy Downtown Connector will provide faster, easier north-south access between downtown Houston and north Houston, including Intercontinental Airport and The Woodlands. The new road will extend the current Hardy Toll Road, which ends at the IH 610 North Loop, to US 59 near the George R. Brown Convention Center and Elysian Street into downtown Houston. Neighborhood streets will be greatly improved with the removal of railroad crossings at Collingsworth.
