Thursday, August 6, 2015. Galveston: Shrimp and Frogs. My family spent a week at the beach in Galveston in June. It was wonderful! People had to come and go throughout the week because of their schedules, but it worked out very well. By the time my little family got there, Peter had to leave pretty soon - but not before he and my dad got some fresh shrimp to eat! While Jordan cooked hamburgers, the kids caught frogs - and loved it! It was hot to eat outside, but at least we did it once. Dayton - 21 Months.

Friday, July 10, 2015. Froot Loops, Anyone? Dayton ate Froot Loops and Cheerios for breakfast one day. He finished, so I got him out and left the cereal boxes on the kitchen table. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Claire, Ryan, Evan, and Dayton enjoyed some snack crafts with us. - We made honey and granola covered bananas and then decorated fruit pizza. Ryan told me a few things about his slice. He said there’s a fruit bunny - the king of all the bunnies. He also said it was a bunny rocket house with the kingdom of the fruit, called Fruitland. Thursday, January 22, 2015. Dayton - 14 Months. Little Dayton is 14 months old, and he is a big guy! He’s short, but he’s a chunk! He is definitely a little BOY, and he keeps me on my toes. He loves to sit and look at books. He makes a static-y sound for “quack quack.” He says “ru ru” for ruff ruff. He says ma ma and da da. He also says ma ma for milk. He gets excited when he hears a dog bark, and he starts saying his version of ruff ruff. We love you, Dayton! Thursday, January 1, 2015. Dayton - 14 Months.

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Happy Anniversary, Bando! Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Dayton - 7 months. Dayton’s a sweet little guy! He started army crawling a week or two ago, and now he also gets up on his hands and toes sometimes. I have seen him on his hands and knees a few times, too. Monday, June 23, 2014. On Father’s Day, we made breakfast for Jordan, and he opened some presents. We went to church, and then Stephen, Mel, and the boys came over for dinner. We had homemade pizza. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Dayton woke up first Christmas morning. He got a head start on breakfast. I couldn’t believe how late Claire slept! I think it was almost 9:00 when I finally went into her room. She was actually awake and looking at a book, since Belton was still asleep, but she said she hadn’t been awake very long. We brought Claire and Belton out at the same time. And Claire just stood there and looked on with a happy face! We looked at toys from Santa and stockings. And I wrapped it!

Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Dayton - 8 Months. Dayton’s eight months old! I love watching him grow! He can sit up for a while when I set him up. He’s a bit tipsy, though, so he usually ends up falling over. He’s a mover! And he still army crawls a lot. He’ll be crawling around on his stomach and then prop himself up on one hip with one arm on the ground to steady him. He just looks around from that position with his feet out; it’s pretty cute! Claire wanted to be in some pictures, too! Dayton - 8 Months.
