Mind-boggling biological revelation! - adaese
http://adaese.livejournal.com/34726.html
Apr 16th, 2015 at 8:25 PM. Wellinghall (browsing idly through a book about heraldry): Apparently male gryphons don't have wings. I had absolutely no idea gryphons exhibited such extreme sexual dimorphism! The only other species I can think of that does that is the Vapourer Moth - we had one pupate attached to our front door a few years ago. So people out there who know more biology than me - can we infer more about the life cycle of the gryphon from this startling fact? 11 comments Leave a comment. I can...

Fic: if you only walk long enough. Fic: lies agreed upon. Fic: shadow in the shade. Fic: water and wine. Series: dancing at the precipice. 06 March 2014 @ 07:13 pm. N-1 things make a post. Work related blather got really long, and also a bit sharp, so it's under lock in its own post. 2 One of those things I haven't been doing is keeping up with the LWW read-along. Over on the NFFR boards, but. Herding cats does not even begin to do it justice. Them, especially Paukhep. Opinions, anyone? Feck it) N. I...

The Importance Of Elsewhere. Ch17 'Divertissement.' - jackmerlin
http://jackmerlin.livejournal.com/6219.html
The Importance Of Elsewhere. Ch17 'Divertissement.'. November 7th, 2014. When Miss Keith had announced that each form was to make their own contribution to the summer show, Lawrie had seen it as a glorious opportunity for her to do Caliban at last. They could do all his best scenes, she argued, and had been duly hurt when Tim said, Oh don’t be such a nit. Even you should see they’ll. Never let us do that! To have some extracts from the ‘Sound of Music’ in the show, and she particularly. Feel free. It...

The Importance Of Elsewhere. Ch 21. An Aunt Ex Machina. - jackmerlin
http://jackmerlin.livejournal.com/7172.html
The Importance Of Elsewhere. Ch 21. An Aunt Ex Machina. January 1st, 2015. Rowan and Denis sat in the Old Shippen waiting for the old camping stove to bring the kettle to a reluctant boil. It might have been quicker to have had coffee in the house, said Rowan. Yes But you know I prefer your family in small quantities, replied Denis, teasing. Rowan grinned, not at all offended. And you had an hour of the Dodd mister first, so you’ve had a double dose too. Ah no, Denis chided gently. You know I like. The c...

The Importance Of Elsewhere. CH 16. A Nasty Accident. - jackmerlin
http://jackmerlin.livejournal.com/6018.html
The Importance Of Elsewhere. CH 16. A Nasty Accident. November 5th, 2014. On Monday, Robin and Amber went to their first one-day-event and finished not exactly covered in glory but very respectably for their first time, having an odd knock-down in the show-jumping, and an inexperienced run-out on the cross-country each. Rupert, winning his second race in confident style, caught the eye of an English trainer over on a shopping trip to Ireland, was sold and left for the racing valley of Lambourn. Hanni...

HarrisandLewis (or possibly LewisandHarris) - adaese
http://adaese.livejournal.com/35612.html
HarrisandLewis (or possibly LewisandHarris). Jun 6th, 2015 at 8:34 AM. After a lifetime of being rather vague about the name of that great big island sort of on the north-west edge, I finally realise that that's because it doesn't actually have a name. We stayed on Harris (the southern, mostly mountainous part), and day-tripped occasionally up to Lewis (the flat peat-boggy half). Rodel church, on the southern tip of Harris, had some very fine carvings,. And was next door to some very fine sheep. And no w...

Hamlet - Flags, rags, ferry boats...
http://bookwormsarah.livejournal.com/429339.html
Flags, rags, ferry boats. Oct 13th, 2014 at 12:55 PM. I saw Hamlet for the first time on Saturday, and I have been left with lots of thoughts and a burning desire to find my GCSE English teacher and camp out on his doorstep until he gives me a terms worth of Eng Lit lessons on the subject. TL:DR I saw Hamlet and can't stop thinking about it, so I typed a not particularly coherent post about it. 17 comments Leave a comment. Oct 13th, 2014 12:37 pm (UTC). Have some more Hamlet! That Hamlet is Mark, a littl...
