Arriving at camp and so very excited. The girls helped me get the tent and camp set up before they headed over for the start of Teen Camp. After they left, Leah and I had a few hours to ourselves. Actually, we were waiting for my parents to call since they were with friends at lake just south of us.only five miles away! It was so cute!

Gutwein Guy and Gals: May 2012
http://gutweinguyandgals.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Gutwein Guy and Gals. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Today, marking our final day of school, was the annual Eager Explorers' Field Day. I spent my morning with Group 5 - the 12 and 13 year olds, which included both Megan and Grace. I attempted to also keep track of where Leah's group was so I could capture her events as best I could. Leah ran the 400m in 1 minute and 54 seconds 2nd place. Her time for the 50m was 9.8 seconds 3rd place. At the high jump, Leah cleared 2 feet 4 inches. Ball throw - 19 feet. Long ju...

Gutwein Guy and Gals. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Another new experience; another great soccer season! After winter conditioning soccer, the girls played on a spring/summer soccer league. On this league, the field is larger than what they have played on in the past, providing them a great way to prepare for the Fusion's season, which they'll be starting in the fall! Today's game was against Mexico.. Grace usually plays center defense; today though, she played right D. Awaiting the start of the game. Hey, d...

Gutwein Guy and Gals: Another Summer Project
http://gutweinguyandgals.blogspot.com/2013/07/another-summer-project.html
Gutwein Guy and Gals. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Since our chicken coop was built in the vicinity of where our fire ring is and not wishing to smoke them out every time we wanted a fire or had to burn something, we decided. A vision I've had for quite awhile). To put in a fire pit as an extension off our patio. We started about 4 pm, Saturday afternoon and were adding the river pebbles around the stepping stones around 10 pm 6 hours from start to finish - not too bad! So happy with the finished project!

Gutwein Guy and Gals. Thursday, June 16, 2011. A few families from our Indiana history class met at the History Center downtown this afternoon and enjoyed FREE admission. Stepping back in time, each one found an article of clothing or a tool from the past. Locked in the dungeon. This is the holding/booking area of the original jail. From the History Center, we went to the zoo.again, for FREE! Watching the red panda sleep. The female orangutan in the Indonesian Rain Forest. So fun to watch. Subscribe to: ...

Gutwein Guy and Gals. Sunday, July 1, 2012. A 2nd Place Finish. I realize that these posts are most likely boring for most people, but it's our way of getting details down to be remembered later when scrap booking.). Right in the middle of this extreme heat and widespread power outage, the girls' soccer tournament went on. When the team was not playing, we all spent our time under these three tents attempting to keep out of the direct sun and stay as cool as possible. Good job, girls! GUTWEIN GUY and GALS.

Gutwein Guy and Gals: Church Lunch
http://gutweinguyandgals.blogspot.com/2013/07/church-lunch.html
Gutwein Guy and Gals. Sunday, July 14, 2013. Today was our turn in serving church lunch, along with Andy and Suzy. We had lots of willing hands to do the work and are thankful it is behind us for another year. Andy slices the cucumbers. Preparing meat, cheese, and veggies plates and the fruit/veggie bowls. Suzy and I and our girls spent a couple hours yesterday washing, slicing, preparing and grouping food items, which made everything run so smoothly this morning. It was worth the time. I do it by me-self.

Gutwein Guy and Gals. Friday, March 18, 2011. We love science Fridays! We looked forward to today's class because we were going to observe and participate in a dissection of a heart, probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience! A view from the side of a cow's heart. View from the top. To determine the correct anatomical position of the heart, we passed it around for each one to squeeze, poke, and prod the tough walls of the ventricles. Knowing that the left ventricle. And Grace get an upclose. I praise you ...
