Friday, October 4, 2013. Asher's Sensory Box - Activity for 7-9 Months. A few weeks ago, John and I made a "Sensory Box". For Asher. We went to Michael's Crafts in search of various things that we could include in this special collection of items. The idea of the sensory box is to expose your baby to new and interesting textures, shapes, colors, etc. It can help with sensory processing, hand-eye coordination, fine motor development, and creative play. Saturday, December 7, 2013. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas! I am happy to announce that we got our sleeper back! Knock on wood - knock on wood - knock on wood! Our doctor recommended that we slowly decrease the amount we let Asher eat at night ( he was eating SO MUCH AT NIGHT and barely eating - well, drinking milk - during the day). Me at an air show in California (1990 - 5 years old). That Was Once Me. The article was about the ending era of the US Air Force's close air support twin engine jet aircraft. The A-10. Oh, the places you'll go! Friday, November 8, 2013. Halloween 2013: Munchkin Land. Because of our trip to Singapore, Robby and I got home right as trick or treating was wrapping up on the 31st, so sadly, we missed the festivities. Robby and I agree, we got the best treat this year though by seeing daddy in Singapore. Even though we missed Halloween this year, it didn't stop us from wearing our costumes all day on November 1st. Robby was a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz and he played the part well.

There are perks to being in a forward deployed squadron. one of them being that families live closer to where the boat pulls in for their port calls so it is easier to meet our spouses every few months during deployment and one of those port calls happen to be here (in Japan! Whenever we near the half way mark of the year's deployment, we get to have a temporary homecoming. How cool is that? Yeah, not a pretty sight for this gal!
