Homeschool Heart and Soul. Home Schooling in Canada and Turkey. Internet resources for home schooling families. Planning for home school. Thursday, March 26, 2015. When I was new to home education, I had a long list of "school" subjects. In addition to math, science, social studies, and English; there were Bible, music, foreign language, home economics, art, physical education and the list went on and on and . . . Well you get the idea. The areas which aren't graded tend to be those areas which will beco...

Homeschool Heart and Soul. Home Schooling in Canada and Turkey. Internet resources for home schooling families. Planning for home school. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. So you've bought the curriculum; what's next? I am learning slowly that taking time to plan in advance not only what curriculum we will use but how we will use that curriculum is a valuable use of my time before the school year starts. Recently and downloaded it. I used it as a teacher's guide for a set of lessons I did with fractions. ...Now i...

Never Miss An Opportunity: Fabric at the market
http://nevermissanopportunity.blogspot.com/2015/05/fabric-at-market.html
Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Fabric at the market. Going to the Tuesday market is a bit of a treat (for me at least) because it's bigger and as a result, has a larger variety of vendors. One of my favourite tables sells fabric remnants. I love to sew, so it's probably no surprise that I find it enormously fun to dig through tangled mounds of fabric. Living here is not totally bad. ;). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Murr...

http://nevermissanopportunity.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Friday, October 31, 2014. We had a rental car delivered to our house at the end of September. Nicole thought it might make a nice 16th birthday present! Cam about to enjoy some of Nicole's birthday cake. After Ray left, we had the car for a couple of days. Nicole and I went on a little adventure one afternoon. You'll have to take my word for it, since this picture was taken on the go! The other side of the mountain. Sacks of...

Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Going to the Mall and Expat Life. There were two nice surprises in our day though. One was that on the main floor, a sport organization had set up a skating rink and was giving local children lessons. That was fun to watch and though I hoped our kids would leap at the opportunity to skate, there wasn't really an opening in the arena's schedule! A group of boys are waiting while the girls are on the ice.

Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Yesterday, while Sam and Nicole were adventuring on the dock during the big surf; Sam lost his shoe. It wasn't an expensive shoe or an important shoe, but I decided today we should go look for it since the tide and the wind had both gone down. I think both kids thought I was crazy, but if you don't look you never find. A walk in the wild surf. Where is Sam's shoe? Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Mom let us put presents under the tree! December 23 we went to Tekirdag and the next day to the theatre for:. We were the only people at this showing which was in English with Turkish subtitles. Oddly, all the Orc speak was translated into Turkish but not into English. Tickets for the movie were about CAD$4.00 per person. We have coal too - but Santa didn't fill anyone's stocking with it! Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Went to Tekirdag today; because Cam had a meeting. The kids and I wandered around the "downtown" area. (It's actually on top of the hill.) Then we headed to the mall for lunch and more shopping. While we wandered around downtown I couldn't resist a picture of this place:. Sometimes translating from Turkish to English is easy! Stork on it's nest near the border with Greece in April. Never Miss An Opportunity. One Canadian family's expatriate adventure in Turkey. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Cam had to stop at the cargo office in Gelibolu to pick up a package. Sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle, I saw something different out my window. So when Cam jumped out to get his package, Nicole and Sam and I walked back up the street to have a look and snap a couple of photos. A goat tied up outside of a paint store. Nicole and her first turtle of spring! Sam sitting in the bus shelter.
