8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. A CHILD’S ANGER. Is anger wrong or sinful? In one word – NO. I have been studying the effects of parent responses to a childs anger and have come up with some disturbing evidence (some in my own home). Even Jesus expressed anger at the temple. Everyone needs to vent their anger but children lack the maturity to do it appropriately, so we MUST set the example. 8221;or “Stop that! What are the long-term effects? 8211; two words that should send a chill down the spine of any parent&#...

8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. Wow, well we have not long returned from a month’s holiday making our way up to our favourite place of all….Tallebudgera, QLD. Here we are at Burleigh Heads beach just around the corner from this…. This is the girls looking back at where our caravan is in the camping park. Its a beautiful place to holiday and they have a brand new heated pool. As you can see, the girls had a ball! More on what homeschooling we did later…. Happy Bird-day! | - OUR HOMESCHOOL -
https://homeschoollearningforlife.wordpress.com/2009/11/26/happy-bird-day
8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. Miss 8 (yes its her birthday) had expressed an interest in breeding birds after seeing a TV show on how some kids earn extra pocket money, so guess what she got for her birthday, or should we say, bird-day? She got a pair of adult budgies which she names Bluey and Peppercorn, a pair of zebra finches, named Stripey and Snowflake and a neighbour gave her a baby budgie which she called Rainbow. https://homeschoollearningforlife.wordpress.com/2010/01/28/schools-back
8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. School’s back for 2010. And so I thought we’d better make a start. This year I will. To get some organisation happening and update the blog every week. Our littlest wiggle (now 12 months old) likes to make things more interesting (shall we say). Miss 8 drew up some plans for a sceptre like the one she had seen on Tinkerbell. Then the girls got busy making one. And you could hear me cheering from here, Miss 8 also sat and did a worksheet – hoorayyyyyyy! Christian input –. Fill in y...

8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. So far, so good and the ‘ir’ sound. Well, we’ve done OK this week so far. I’m not pushing myself or them too hard because it all gets way to stressful and no-one ends up learning anything except what not to do (LOL). Miss 6 actually ASKED if she could do Mathletics on Tuesday (I nearly fell over as she had become bored with it) and both girls wanted to do several pages of their new Maths/sticker workbooks that Grandma gave them (hooray! 8211; sounds combined with a craft idea.

Its fruit picking season | - OUR HOMESCHOOL -
https://homeschoollearningforlife.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/its-fruit-picking-season
8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. Its fruit picking season. And yes, it always changes the dynamics of our homeschooling in a huge way. The workbooks are out for yes, more revision , we have to rely on Grandma for any little ‘extras’ like made-up games and the Reading Eggs. Program has been great. The kids can virtually do it unsupervised if necessary. Miss 6 has been earning herself some baby sitting money entertaining her baby sister while Mum and Dad pack fruit. 8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. Homeschoolers threaten our cultural comfort. Hopefully, you’ll love this story as much as I did. Whilst reading it in the middle of a meeting, I couldn’t stop giggling or wipe the smile off my face. I got a real kick out of it. I suppose it depends which side of the fence you’re on, would make a difference to your take on it all, but I thought it was quite funny and encouraging. 8211; OUR HOMESCHOOL –. We survived the week (lol). Its didn’t start off to well – again the baby made things difficult but I did read somewhere that trying to learn under stress, you don’t really learn anything at all. So Tuesday was better and here’s what we did. Maths workbook – subtraction sums revision. As I have mentioned before, maths is not Miss 6’s strong point but she has grasped the concept.
