Screen Gal: April 2013
http://screengal.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 8 April 2013. One character who I particularly dislike is Andrea. The whole time I have been watching season two she has turned into someone who I don’t recognise, it seems that after her sister was killed she has turned into ‘one of the boys’ and a gun wielding maniac! Monday, 6 February 2012. Screen Gal’s discussion of the month: Blu – ray versus DVD –Better quality picture or better off without it? With any suggestions or general comments. Think back around fifteen years ago when every home had a video player and you would look forward to visiting Blockbuster or the local Global video store to rent or purchase your favourite film on VHS. If someone said that we would soon be watching all of our favourites from a disc we would’ve laughed at the idea! Brian's Film Revi...

Thursday, 8 November 2012. Screen Gal's discussion of the month: Novels VS Films - A real page turner or a real DVD burner? Some of the films from IMDB’s Top 250 Movies of all time list are novel adaptations. Are writers really counting that their films will be made into a big budget blockbuster? Or are film studios counting that the talented authors of the world will write a bestseller that they can sell to modern audiences? The Examiner 'Literary film adaptations'. With any comments. Screen Gal: August 2013
http://screengal.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 12 August 2013. I don't wanna die at James Franco's house. This is the End. Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride and Emma Watson. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The toilet humour and slapstick jokes are not for everyone, however it is a wild ride and I found myself watching the film and constantly thinking what could possibly happen next? Monday, 16 April 2012. Screen Gal’s discussion of the month: What went wrong with From Dusk Till Dawn? Next is the motel room scene, the use of humour at the beginning “What do you think I want you mean old bastard, I want a fucking room! Is just sheer genius and shows how sick he was to believe that it actually happened. The fact that they turned into vampires seems a bit ridiculous, instead why not have a vicious gun battle between the men in the club? Or that they owed money to Salma’s character?

Tuesday, 31 January 2012. Are you sure you want to play this game? Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry and Jared Harris. Fast forward two years and I am eagerly awaiting the release of A Game of Shadows and visit the cinema to witness more action and adventure from Holmes and Watson. I am not in the least bit surprised that Guy Ritchie made a second film as it seems there are endless possibilities with these two characters. It is a fantastic film and ...
