http://www.teachertypes.com/2015/07/5-fun-activities-to-do-indoors-this.html
Friday, July 17. 5 Fun Activities to do Indoors This Winter. Brrr it's chilly these days! It's right smack bang in the middle of winter, play cafe's are busy, it's too cold and rainy to play at the park - which doesn't leave many alternatives. So I tried to come up with some winter warming activities to keep Miss M busy at home. Firstly, we made this cute and cosy indoor cubby. I'm sure we've all done this growing up (my mum used to make ours over the old fashioned clothes horse! Musical statues or bobs.

http://www.teachertypes.com/2014/09/alphabet-pebbles-wonderful-word-building.html
Sunday, September 7. Alphabet Pebbles Wonderful Word Building. Following on from my Alphabet Project post. I created these little alphabet pebbles in lower case letters a-z. They will be great to use in the classroom for the kiddies to create simple three and four letter words. There is a significant step from when children have learnt the letters of the alphabet - to actually writing simple words. It's called word building. The letters, it's more about recognising. What a simple classroom resource!

http://www.teachertypes.com/2015/08/colour-sorting-for-toddlers.html
Tuesday, August 11. Colour Sorting for Toddlers. I'm here with a simple colour sorting activity today that Miss M recently enjoyed. I love these mini tubs from Howards Storage World. And immediately thought of ways to use them for a fun activities. To see the full range of 'Tubtrugs'! They're such a great addition to a play area. We love the bigger Tubtrugs as well - they fit perfectly into our IKEA shelves and are perfect for storing toys. Here's one of my previous posts. Linking up with Essentially Jess.

Friday, July 11. Fun with Straws Simple Toddler Play. A short and sweet post today. About simple baby and toddler play ideas? Little Miss and I discovered that my straws wouldn't fit through the little holes of my colander. Well look what I found in the shed! A little canister from IKEA was just the thing I needed for some fun straw play. You could turn this into a fun game of kerplunk for older kiddies by just adding some pom poms :). Until next time (which won't be very long I hope). Simple template...

Sunday, July 20. Author Study Lynley Dodd and her friend Hairy Maclary. Welcome back to teacher types. My Term 1 Author Study was none other than Eric Carle. Which the children absolutely loved. Last term we studied the 'Hairy Maclary' series of books (as well as many others) by New Zealand author Lynley Dodd. Her sing song, rhyming and repetitive stories had the children engaged and eager to join in. Hairy Maclary has his very own website here. Do you know the game "doggy doggy who's got your bone?
