My journey from infertility through pregnancy. 1st IUI cycle.failed. Sunday, April 29, 2007. Still waiting to hear back from the doctor's office after my latest ultrasound and bloodwork this morning. This doctor identified two dominant follicles- one at 12mm and one at 11mm and said that the rest were still small, so hopefully we're good to continue the meds as is. My journey from infertility through pregnancy. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Four weeks postpartum, I still feel "phantom" pregnancy feelings. Like I'll have gas and think I'm feeling a baby move. Now, nothing can compare to the joy I feel when my babies smile their little random smiles at me. Looking down at their sweet sleeping faces fills me with wonder- that my flawed body could have produced such perfection! Now I need to go update the twins' blog with news of their one month appt!

My journey from infertility through pregnancy. The Bad and the Good. Sometimes, I wish there were two of me. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. The Bad and the Good. So, a whirlwind few days later, back in the ATL, I had a growth scan and midwife/OB appt. My cervix measure 5.4 centimeters, so whatever happened the other night did not affect it at all, which is really good news. The boys are close to 3 lbs. EACH. WHOA! My journey from infertility through pregnancy. Morning sickness and dizzy spells. The bump has started! Last night I dreamed. I dont feel pregnant today. The anxiety is killing me. Beta scheduled for tomorrow. Saturday, May 26, 2007. Morning sickness and dizzy spells. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. The bump has started! A day shy of 5 weeks, and my shorts wouldn't button, I took a picture and lo and behold, the little padding I had under my belly button has rounded out and formed the start of a little bump!

My beta number was 179.5 at 10 days post 5-day transfer/15 days post-ovulation. Next step is more bloodwork on Monday. We could not be happier. Now I just have to hope for an uneventful pregnancy and that this little bean(s) sticks right where it is for 9 months. Another little embryo that could! Or maybe since I know I was super thirsty last time I am convincing myself that I am super thirsty today… I am not allowing myself to consult any due-date-calculators or think too hard about that, and I am trying not to allow myself to buy any pregnancy tests. But that was 2 1/2 years ago too – and though I am still relatively young in the world of fertility, my ovaries don’t show that. So who knows, even with more than 3 tries of IVF with my eggs, we still wouldn’t have success…. We aren’t there yet, fortunately, but we certainly have more to think about now.
