Wednesday, December 28, 2011. In 2011, I. Was introduced, trial-by-fire style, to shoveling snow. Saw the NSO at the Kennedy Center. Spent a weekend in NYC. Saw a little show while I was in town. Enjoyed cherry blossoms in the district. Hiked the billy goat trail. Celebrated Mom and Dad's 25th wedding anniversary. Walked under the arch. Earned the infamous peachtree road race t-shirt. Said "see you later" to some wonderful people. Got a white coat. with my name on it. Spent a week in gatlinburg.

I had no idea how close it was to DC - we made it there in no time at all! We first found our way to the State House and discovered that they were in session, so we took in the view from a balcony inside. Next stop: Naval Academy Campus. SO pretty and fun to see! Up next: a tale of my Easter weekend at home in Georgia!
