His Redeemed Child: January 2015
http://hopefulaspiringhomemaker.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Thursday, January 15, 2015. My Word of the Year for 2015. Last year, my word for the year was "genuine." I think it was a successfully genuine year, I felt like I was able to let go of my worry about what people thought of me and just be myself. Now that I'm doing better about not putting up a front and being a fake, I need to work on who I really am. Photo cred: Rustic Meets Vintage. Many Proverbs, li...
His Redeemed Child: December 2014
http://hopefulaspiringhomemaker.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Books I Read in 2014. Well, I can't believe this year is almost over! It's really flown by, but I did manage to read more this year than I did last year, and I completed half of my resolution from last year! Missing 15 and 17 on the list, the flowered book is my journal. By Maria Edgeworth (1823) - Recommend. By Jane Austen - Recommend. 3 The Screwtape Letters. But I could...
His Redeemed Child: My Health Journey: Part 1
http://hopefulaspiringhomemaker.blogspot.com/2015/01/my-health-journey-part-1.html
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. My Health Journey: Part 1. Although I was perfectly happy to skip out on the horrible doctor's visits that my friends described, I wasn't very happy with most of the other healthy aspects of our life. Why did we have to have rice cakes with almond butter for snacks, instead of a PB&J, which was so much cooler? This is the story of how my personal health journey began. I'm so...
His Redeemed Child: November 2014
http://hopefulaspiringhomemaker.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Monday, November 10, 2014. Review: Death Comes to Pemberley. There have been many attempts at sequels to Jane Austen's wonderful novels. I have a very low opinion of almost everyone who thinks they have any right to try to add on to her works, but for some reason, I was silly enough to watch Death Comes to Pemberley. It was very disorienting. By showing us the scene with Lizzie and Wickham when he tell...
His Redeemed Child: Our Secret Bread Recipe...
http://hopefulaspiringhomemaker.blogspot.com/2010/05/our-secret-bread-recipe.html
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Sunday, May 2, 2010. Our Secret Bread Recipe. Is being published on the internet for the whole world to see! We've always given our recipe to anyone who asks for it. It changes every so often, as my dad is the mastermind behind it and he sometimes comes up with improvements, but this is the current version, with my newly discovered tips for making it work with sprouted wheat. 6 tsp of salt. The Random Digressors: A New Beginning
http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-beginning.html
Saturday, October 16, 2010. Some very old, faithful readers who diligently read all of my lengthy posts from "way back when" may remember my difficulties with vacuums. There are actually three posts about it, which I will obligingly link to, under the delightful illusion that anyone might actually want to read these old posts from the "archives.". It's a Dyson, although not a Dyson "Ball" vacuum (those are so expensive just for the convenience of more range of motion! Randomly rambled by Lizzie.

The Random Digressors: December 2009
http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 27, 2009. The End of 2009. It is usually the practice at the end of a year to reflect on the past year, see what you wish you could change and then come up with appropriate "New Year's Resolutions" to help you towards that goal of a "better you." Or something like that. I have given up on New Years Resolutions because anything associated with New Years Resolutions is inevitably given up before the end of January. Last year, my list was:. Long-term Goals for the year:. Find some way of ea...

The Random Digressors: Vacuums
http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2008/08/vacuums.html
Monday, August 4, 2008. I loathe vacuums. Some of you may remember my previous issues with this vacuum (since my sanity is already on the edge of a very steep cliff, I'm not going to link to that old post. If you're really that bored, you can find it yourself). So considering that the typical maintenance like changing the bag and pulling out all the hair (did you know that the average person loses 100 hairs a day? So, anyway. I determined that the reason the belt came off must have been because it's ...

Saturday, June 19, 2010. My View of Adulthood. Randomly rambled by Lizzie. Thursday, June 3, 2010. NCHE Convention and Graduation. AND Sarah's birthday! Wow, what a weekend! We had a great time. Sarah and I experienced swing dancing for the first time at the Teen Cotillion the evening of the first conference day. It was a LOT of fun! None of the speaker sessions were mind-blowing fantastic, but they did give me some things to think about and some mild inspiration. Randomly rambled by Lizzie.

http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2008/08/vacuums-part-2.html
Monday, August 4, 2008. Vacuums, part 2. Yep, there's a part 2. Bangs head on desk*. So anyway. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is THE Vacuum of Sauron! Recovered from Mordor just before the Frodo accidentally dropped the One Ring into Mount Doom. And it can be yours for the price it takes to catch it as I hurl it out my bedroom window! Warning: Unsuitable for vacuuming, but a very. interesting collection piece. I'm looking into the costs of wood floors. Randomly rambled by Lizzie. All That Is Good.

http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 26, 2009. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." -Matthew 5:9. Thoughts like this I store up my "mental" hope chest. every time I put it into practice in my current life, I am, of course, trying to heal my relationships with my family members, but I am also storing up experience for married life. I think I have no false delusions about how very often I will need these peace-making skills. Randomly rambled by Lizzie. Thursday, November 5, 2009. And e...

The Random Digressors: January 2011
http://therandomdigressors.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 3, 2011. Another year come and gone. Here are my previously unfinished New Year's "goals" from previous years. Long-term Goals for the year 2009:. Find some way of earning income. (I have 12 piano students now, which is providing enough for me to pay for my own piano lessons, voice lessons, and theatre and dance classes. But I would like to find something that I can do on my own time. I know, I'm too picky.). So, for 2010, my goals were:. Better sleep schedule (check! Now for 2011 goals:.

His Redeemed Child
Healthy cooking, crafty projects and thoughts inspired by my life as a Christian stay-at-home daughter. Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Last month was ending just as Timothy was wrapping up his 8th week Wonder Week leap! We enjoyed all the exciting new things he was learning, but the sleep disruption was frustrating, and inspired me to read "Precious Little Sleep" at the recommendation of a friend who has two kids. It was amazing how well it worked! He even gave us 4 nights in a row of only waking up once!

This was my first national Southern Baptist Convention and although I have been desensitized by so many other past conferences and conventions (that’s what happens when you’ve been in the ministry 28 years) I was very encouraged and spiritually strengthened. Friday, August 7, 2015. I've spent the past two weeks enjoying my summer vacation, but now it is time to head back to real life . . . via one last extended weekend to the beach! More on that later, I'm sure. For now, here are some of the highlights of my vacation time. Once I met my family for. Vacation we headed to New Jersey. The Hopeful Baby Blog.
