http://hotfromtheoven.blogspot.com/2007/04/giadas-roasted-chicken-with-balsamic.html

Hot From The Oven. Thursday, April 19, 2007. Giada's Roasted Chicken with Balsamic Vinaigrette. I began tonight's dinner the night before by mixing the vinaigrette, quartering the chicken, and allowing it to marinate overnight. Phil and I eagerly awaited tonight's dinner and the heavenly smells from the oven were enough to make our mouths water! The marinade did its work beautifully overnight and the sauce was divine! 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.

October 26, 2007. I'm a bit late posting this, as Meatloaf Appreciation Day. I wasn't even a fan of meatloaf, wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, until I came across this recipe. I served it alongside roasted garlic mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. Enjoy! Cook's Illustrated - January 2006. 3 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, grated on small holes of box grater (about 1 cup). 1 tablespoon unsalted butter. 1 medium onion , chopped fine (about 1 cup). 1 medium rib celery , chopped fine (about 1/2 cup).

Hot from the Toaster

Hot from the Toaster. Sketches from a hike. Went on a lovely hike last weekend to Point Isabel. 160;in Richmond. There were dogs everywhere at the beginning. I missed my own pooches. The Path soon led onto part of the Bay Trail. The sky began overcast with a brisk wind off of the bay. I woke up from a nap to a house full of smoke. Mind racing I moved through the rooms. Had I cooked anything today? Did I leave the oven on? Labels: summer boot camp. Once again, obsessed with words. Today I had to use a for...
