The Bachville Times: April 2012
http://thebachvilletimes.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 27, 2012. A lot has been going one in our world but wanted to post that we lost our little Sophie last week. She had congestive heart failure first and many of the medicines used to treat that condition are hard on the kidneys. We let her go on April 17th as she was succumbing to renal failure. Thanks to friends and neighbors that came to the house, sent cards, brought flowers, called, left condolences on facebook and generally comforted us. You will never know what that meant to us. We wen...

The Bachville Times: May 2012
http://thebachvilletimes.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Four weeks to the day that Sophie left us - we welcomed little Lily into our home. To say that it was meant to be is a huge understatement. I never expected to get another dog as soon as this - but the circumstances presented an opportunity that meant Lily was destined to be ours. She is tiny but makes up for it in cuteness. She is smart and is learning the ropes around here. She fits in beautifully. She is pretty spunky! Posted by Martha Bachert. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Encore...

The Bachville Times: March 2012
http://thebachvilletimes.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Green onions - grown from - green onions. Growing your own green onions from green onions was new to me when I saw it on Pinterest. Who knew? The photo below is three days of growth from onions I bought on Sunday. I keep them in the ledge of my kitchen window and keep the roots in water that I change out every other day You can get several "growings" from each bunch. This is super easy to maintain, saves money, and it is so handy to have fresh green onions available. Thank you ...

The Bachville Times: September 2012
http://thebachvilletimes.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 28, 2012. Sound of needles clicking again. I have been working on many projects but not consistently. Here is my latest work - lacy/scalloped hand towel - knitted with linen warp. I love how it is turning out so far. Posted by Martha Bachert. Wednesday, September 26, 2012. I love thrift stores and try to go into as I run across. Found this set of cobalt blue salt and pepper shakers along with some fancy fabric remnants and some old pillowcases to make tote bags to use at the store.

The Bachville Times: October 2012
http://thebachvilletimes.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 9, 2012. I wanted to do a bit of experimenting with making different types of chips. Today it is carrots. I have a tool (a nifty garage sale find) that makes thin scalloped pieces. They are very good, sweet and crisp. Just slicing them makes them come out smaller than the diameter of a dime - some were smaller. Best part is that they taste so good with no seasoning. Posted by Martha Bachert. Labels: homemade carrot chips. Saturday, October 6, 2012. Where did I find this, you may ask?
