Our annual outing with the Olney Eagles 4-H club took us to West Virginia for some whitewater rafting on the Shenandoah River. We used River and Trail Outfitters. To arrange the trip and were very pleased with the guides and services they provided. The trip included a picnic lunch on the river and stops for swimming and water play. Occasional notes about our busy lives for our friends and family. Monday, February 26, 2007. Since 2001 we have made our own tradition around the anniversary of the day we added Lucy to our family. Family Week, as we call it, starts with Gotcha Day, February 23, the day we actually received Lucy from the Gao Yu Child Welfare Center. This is rather low-key celebration doesn't involve parties or other big events, it is simply a time to reflect on our family and what it means to us to have each other.
