Community Blood Program

The Aultman Blood Center is a hospital-based blood program that holds community blood drives in Carroll, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. The blood program is a joint effort among Aultman, Dunlap, Pomerene and Union hospitals. The program enables blood products to be collected, banked and used locally. The community blood program also provides lower-cost products to facilities. The Aultman Blood Center processes a unit of blood for $65 less than it can be processed elsewhere.

Regional Cancer Center in Tuscarawas County. The Regional Cancer Center at Union Hospital is a joint venture between Union Hospital and Aultman Hospital. The partnership between Aultman and Union has created a state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility that offers board-certified radiation oncologists, therapists and physicists. Installation of a new linear accelerator that was operational in October 2010 enables cancer treatments to be provided with greater speed and accuracy.
