Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Back to some exercise. After feeling decidedly unmotivated the last two days and failing to get out of bed in time to go running this morning I gave my self a stern talking to and headed to the gym for Pilates at lunchtime and then slipped off at 4.30 to go home so I could go for a run. It's unusual for me to go running in the afternoon but I couldn't go three days without doing some exercise! Tues GRC and run Done. Weds Aqua Satan am and Spin and weights pm. Five snacks I enjoy.

One of my very fit girlfriends who is training to be an fitness instructor called me up to say she needed some fit friends to fill her assessment circuit training class. and she thought of me. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Total was 4.35km. Total for the month 47.5km; hopefully this will start increasing now. I didn't have any knee pain but my left achilles is grumbling again so will have to go back to icing and stretching that; it should settle down again I hope. Did a 45 min GRC Pilates class after work. Really felt it this afternoon as I haven't been for over a week. Before run: 1/2 nectarine and water. B: Banana protein smoothie. MT: 1/2 protein bar and 2 crispbreads with cottage cheese.

Saturday, December 31, 2005. Looking back and forward. A quick post on the year behind and the year ahead: It is NY's Eve after all! 2005: the good things! The first year when I have trained consistently all year, without a major injury. I ran at least 3 times each week and in the latter part of the year this was consistently 4 or 5 times per week. Sunday, July 31, 2005. I was so excited about trying out my new Target Coolmax socks and Skins running tights (bought for running but also to stop me getting a DVT when we go to Europe in 3 weeks) that I forgot to put Vaseline on. All I can say is I certainly felt the chafed bits when I plunged into the salt water of North Sydney pool for a couple of cool down laps.ouch! Monday, October 31, 2005. After Mr Lulu's birthday drinks yesterday afternoon I wasn't sure if we'd be too energetic this morning but we hopped out of bed and down to the park for a Monday SWEAT session. I haven't done a Monday SWEAT before and it's always hills. Today was circuits of a course that Sean calls Wild Wally. It's a fairly steep climb, then levels off and a nice downhill. 3 reps: 3.53, 3.38 and 3.59. A good way to start the week! This week is another full on training week:. Sunday: 1hr 10 mins.
