Advanced Photo Topics: ISO - What is it, and how does it affect my photos?
http://inthezoneimages.blogspot.com/2006/11/iso-what-is-it-and-how-does-it-affect.html
Sunday, November 05, 2006. ISO - What is it, and how does it affect my photos? ISO, i.e. Film Speed. The measurement of sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO value, the more sensitive to light your camera will be. Values of ISO common today are 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, and 3200. Some cameras will let you set your ISO in 1/2 or 1/3 increments, but most photographers think of ISO in the whole values listed here. Posted by Joe Ratterman. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Advanced Photo Topics: Photo Tip - Using the flash as "fill" in manual mode
http://inthezoneimages.blogspot.com/2006/11/photo-tip-of-day-flash-as-fill-in.html
Friday, November 03, 2006. Photo Tip - Using the flash as "fill" in manual mode. I like to use my Canon 580EX Speedlight to give a little extra pop when photographing people, especially on cloudy days or backlit situations. Meter for the actual available light in your scene, then set your flash compensation to (-1) to (-2 1/3) stops. This will give you a well exposed photo of the full scene, but will put a little extra clean/white light on your subject's face. Posted by Joe Ratterman. In The Zone Images.

http://itzi-faq.blogspot.com/2006/11/what-is-your-approach-to-taking-sports.html
Saturday, November 04, 2006. What is your approach to taking sports and action shots? Really "knowing" the sports we photograph, from an athlete's perspective, also goes a long way to getting better shots than most spectators can get. Posted by Joe Ratterman. Saturday, November 04, 2006. What if I can't find any pictures of myself or others on the site? Sometimes technical and logistical issues come up and we can't get the shot. Other times the photos we take don't meet our high company standards for quality and clarity, and so we choose not to publish them. If we didn't get your photo, please accept our apologies.
