We have just had our great friends Rob and Marg visit for a few days and we had a wonderful time catching up. It had been about 6 months since we have seen each other so had a fair bit to talk about :). Unfortunately the weather was crap - more rain! But we did have one nice day so we had a visit to Paronella Park.

It rained pretty much all of the first week so we took advantage of that and visited some local Waterfalls. First stop Paronella Park:. A great way to spend a rainy day! View From the Tin Shed Port Douglas. We didn't have any time to recover from Teigz visit before we were off to Port Douglas for the weekend with Rob and Marg. We have had a very eventful month. We had a late season Cyclone - Ita come through on April 12th. No damage here thank goodness but a fair bit of wind and rain:. The next day everything was back to normal. Dave had a great Idea on how to make mowing the lawn more fun,. Luckily he can mow 1 handed :). You can see how rugged up we were!

Well we got to Hayes Creek at about 3pm, after catching up with Dave's mate in Adelaide River and then of course we had to stop at the Pub for another Barra Burger :). We set up camp:. Beautiful little C/Park - lots of shade and green grass. On Wednesday Dave set off for work bright and early - the Mine is just 10 minutes up the road.
