About the Intrepid Monkeys. Refugio Frey Walk, Great for All Ages. May 6, 2013 at 11:26 am. Walking down the street holding my mum’s hand when I was young, I had to take a few quick steps every so often to keep up. when I got to double digits, things didn’t change much as my mother has considerably longer legs than mine and I seemed to stop growing at age 12 – apart from the womanly bits! Our Refugio Frey walk was a flash back to those days. Due to a particularly late start, Alec set a cracking pace.

About the Intrepid Monkeys. What I Learnt About Climbing Volcán Villarrica. April 15, 2013 at 10:03 am. Burning my lungs, I could taste the sulphur. Trying to use my glove as a breathing mask I attempted to gasp some ‘clean’ air. To my surprise, at 2800m I was not affected by the altitude at all. My legs were burning, but dodging the toxic fumes in between happy snaps was definitely my priority as we walked around the perimeter of the smouldering crater. Our Inspirations | Off The Grid With Kid
http://offthegridwithkid.com/our-inspirations
Many people have asked us how we came to the decision to take an extended trip and told us either how much courage we had or how jealous they were. While it does take courage I suppose, anyone could do it at any time if they put some steps in place to make it happen. How did we actually arrive at this decision? What or who inspired us? Well, it kind of started like this…. Timothy Ferriss and The Four Hour Workweek. From that time forward we immediately put the plan in place to terminate our lease when it...

Quito and Beyond…. Posted in: South America. Traffic, traffic and more traffic! Uh did I mention the traffic? Arriving in Quito, after having been in quaint little Cuenca was a bit of a shock since it is a much larger and more modern city. (Population of Quito is 1.6 million compared to Cuenca at 400,000). One of the best features of Quito though (and its saving grace) is the mountains. Love them! View from our apartment with the fog rolling through the mountains. Street festival performers (and Mazzy!

Every day life and baby adventures. My little sack of condensed sugar angel pie, Linc, will 1 day be able to speak and realize that his mother is crazy, but until that day comes, let’s poke fun at the noises/faces he makes, his explosive diapers, breastfeeding, the trillion dollar industry that is babypalooza and anything else that strikes my fancy.
