Inver Garden Centre nursery - bedding plants and vegetables

The Inver Shop and Plant Area. At the Nursery we grow all our own Bedding Plants and Vegetables. The Bedding plants come in as plugs from one of the largest suppliers of plugs and young plants in England. On arrival in the Nursery they are transplanted into pots and grown on. (Top left and bottom left pictures). When the bedding plant has reached a good size, it is transferred to a glass house for "Hardening off" this allows the plant to be planted out immediatley by the customer.

The Centre has its own Nursery growing 100% of its Bedding Plants and Vegetable Transplants. No airmiles and environmentally friendly. The Inver Shop and Plant Area. The Garden Centre's motto is "The Gardeners Garden Centre". At the Garden we carry all the usual brands of chemicals, plant food and compost. A range of tools, hanging basket accessories and various products. The shop constantly changes from early spring bulbs, seed potatoes, seeds to summer bedding, hanging baskets, planted pots. At Christmas the whole shop changes. The Outside area shrubs and trees are chosen for quality and value. Bottom Right picture Dianthus.
Gardening Club at Inver Garden Centre

The Inver Shop and Plant Area. The club was started in 1988 with regular meetings taking place in the centre on the last Monday of every month. The first meeting attracted 25 people who became members and some are still members of the club today. At the present time the membership stands 152 with each meeting attracting some 65 to 70 people every month. The Inver Shop and Plant Area. Welcome to Inver Garden Centre. The garden Centre is owned and run by John and Norma Shannon. John started a garden centre and nursery on Casements Brae in Larne. In the Mid-eighties the Garden Centre was too small, and a new site was needed. The Centre moved to a purpose built site in 1987 at Millbrook and focuses on gardening with a traditional and friendly professional atmosphere.We aim to be at the top of our game, with excellent knowledge and expertise.
