Here are the results from the only night of racing so far, June 3rd. Jeff reports that those of us who were not there missed a great night. Clearly Jeff felt things were just fine that night. The wind was solid enough to have the crews trapping all night long but not so much that you could not enjoy a beer on the downwind leg. The Ida Lewis committee set us off on four short races. International 110 Fleet 54. Newport, Rhode Island. Saturday, March 11, 2006. The second annual 110 Midwinters were held March 3-5, hosted by the Davis Island Yacht Club. In Tampa Florida. Sadly, no one from Fleet 54 was present. A group of boats from the mid-west made the treck, though. Hopefully there will be more boats next year. I have not been able to find any photos yet but maybe we can get a couple from those who attended. Alter Ego #300 - Botimer - 12 pts. Shenanigans #709 - Huff - 14 pts.

This race began as the Sail For Pride which was conceived shortly after the tragic events of 9/11. Information about the race and it's causes can be found at the Sail Newport website.
