A sedentary gypsy in Far North Queensland. Ayton – The Little Village in the Tropics. May 15, 2015. Edited 15th May. Added some links to places and information. The photos looking toward home were taken on the way back, but I’m putting them in order of distance from home. This is a view back toward home. There is only one property past us, about a Kilometre up the valley. 2nd pole on the left after the creek. About half a km to home. The Wattle are in flower now. The perfume is sweet, honey scented.

These are the unusual ones. So much colour:. These are the last of many little, weathered stones that we collected from the river. Oh, and this stone. I’m not sure if it is a tiny bit of river worn glass, a very clear sapphire or quartz crystal, or a tiny diamond. I’ll leave you to ponder:. Oh, I almost forgot the Chrysoprase.
