Exotic Options : Pricing and Hedging. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Vega in a black schole world corresponds to change in price due to change in volatility which is constant. Constant volatility for entire surface means vega corresponds to parallel movement in the surface. It seems that the risk corresponding to vega can be hedged by any vanilla trade which protects volatility risk irrespective of everything else because vega is not dependent on term structure or smile etc. Posted by Shivendra @ 3:41 AM.
