It's been awhile, a few weeks actually but I'm back to penning my thoughts once more, thanks to my buddy Wengkin who helped me sort out my computer. Life as it is. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Christmas has always been a big thing for me ever since I was a kid. The food was fantastic, the gifts are like awesome and the atmosphere, that christmassy feeling when it comes to December just keeps you in the mood. I remember mum used to be busy with her 'world class' pineapple tarts, trust me, she makes the best of the best tarts. My traveling gang of Weichong and Wengkin decided to embark on another adventurous trip, this time round moving south to the island of Batam, Indonesia last weekend. It was my second trip to an Indonesian island, after Bali last month, and I’ve always had my own vision of how Batam looked like; a small poor town, with shop houses lining up the streets and also all the other stories you’ve read in the newspapers about the town.

Our flight was supposed to take off at 1450hrs and we should be home by 1730hrs, but guess what? Our flight was delayed.
