The 3550 has one ingress queue per interface which uses FIFO queuing technique. can’t do any manipulation with that. 1) The global DSCP-COS map in the switch is used to determine a corresponding CoS value for the frames internal DSCP. 2) Then the interface CoS-to-queue map is used to determine the corresponding queue on that interface based on the CoS vlaue derived from step 1.
