Thanks to a generous donation from Cruze’s paternal grandmother, we have received a DNA profile of Cruze. We are grateful to finally have confirmation that Cruze is in fact a [insert drumroll here]. Cruze the Wonder Dog ( CtWD ) has bestowed his super powers on us for 18 months, but only now can we truly, and with awe, understand the uniqueness of his potential for Wonderdog-ness. Just the 2 of us.

Luckily, the check engine light came on the first night and we got to trade it for a Honda Element with all wheel drive. Amanda with our new rental car at our hotel, Grandma's Feather Bed. Check out the icicles. Mendenhall Glacier. The lake is frozen so you could walk right up to it. The Shrine of St. Therese, a beautiful, remote little chapel at the end of a long peninsula.

I am humbly ignorant of what constitutes a "good" prayer call from the muezzin towers of Muslim mosques. Most of the prayer calls I heard while traveling were an odd cacophony of blaring chant and speaker fuzz, and it wasn't always the most pleasant sound to my ear.
