Eas-On Down The Road. Saturday, July 25, 2015. Monarch Pass = 11,312 ft. We tried to choose the clearest day of the week for our drive up to Monarch Pass. On this day trip, we had good weather, saw fantastic mountain scenery and enjoyed a tasty lunch in Salida. From Canon City, we traveled west on US Hwy 50 through Salida, to reach the Monarch Pass area. The views of the Rocky Mountains are especially clear on this day even though the clouds started to build. Monarch Summit.12,000 feet and the temper...

http://ronandcynthia.blogspot.com/2015/08/scenic-drives-and-scenic-soaks.html
Eas-On Down The Road. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Scenic Drives and Scenic Soaks. Stopping at the Pagosa Springs Visitor Center. Was the best thing we did to try to decide what would interest us. We chose the quieter, more calmer versions of exploring the Pagosa Springs area of Colorado. We picked up the brochure "Hiking Trails and Scenic Drives". We've found it to be a great guide for exploring this area. These photos are from our drive on the Blanco Basin Road. The East Fork Road to Elwood Pass. Was our...

http://ronandcynthia.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Eas-On Down The Road. Tuesday, April 29, 2014. 58 Goodbye Deer Creek and Goodbye Florida. What a fantastic winter we have had! This was our first winter season in Florida and it was very nice. We have enjoyed mild temperatures (in our opinion), some delicious meals and met some great folks. We loved the palm trees and flowers. View of the club house and pool. We saw lots of wildlife here: sandhill cranes, wild turkeys and a variety of egrets. But all is well, he did a good job on the repair. We have begu...

http://ronandcynthia.blogspot.com/2015/07/colorado-livin.html
Eas-On Down The Road. Friday, July 31, 2015. Our first month of living in Colorado is coming to a close. We really like these comfortable temperatures (low to upper 80s) and the low humidity (average25-35%). You can sit in the shade, feel cool and enjoy the breeze. We're enjoying all that Colorado has to offer and looking forward to exploring more of the state. We spent an afternoon browsing the shops of Old Colorado City. It is a national historic section of Colorado Springs. The terrain was very desert...

Eas-On Down The Road: October 2014
http://ronandcynthia.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Eas-On Down The Road. Monday, October 20, 2014. We invited my Mom to stay with us a few days to enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway too. An awful wind and rain storm blew through the day she arrived so some of those bright leaf colors were absent during our drives. We still had a great time sightseeing, laughing and enjoying our time together. Boy, it was chilly on top of Mount Mitchell that day. It was 42 degrees with a stuff breeze. This was Mom's first visit to the Biltmore Estate. Facade of the stair-tower.

Eas-On Down The Road: May 2014
http://ronandcynthia.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Eas-On Down The Road. Thursday, May 29, 2014. 59 Fort Chiswell, Virginia. What happened to the month of May? We blinked our eyes and it's gone. When we were preparing to go full-time, it seemed that time just stood still or moved at a snail's pace. Now that we are full-time RVers, it feels that time flies by. Who was it that said "Time flies by when you're having fun."? To celebrate my birthday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We have begun a "new chapter" in our lives as full-time RVer's. We have enjoye...
