It comes in pints. Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Batch 172, Panama Red at the Edge. I brewed a batch of Panama Red at the Edge Brewery today. It took a while to figure out how to get the main boil kettle burner lit, but after that, it was a smooth brew day. The Edge has one of those Morebeer Tippy-Dump brewing "sculptures", it's a pretty nice system and gets about 85% efficiency, so it's not just a matter of doubling my regular Panama Red recipe. 25 lb Crystal 60. 9 oz Chocolate malt. Hops are exactly double:.

My new Monster Mill is amazing, great crush in no time. This recipe is based on my Panama Red recipe, but bumped up a little in the 2-row to get the strong beer to double IPA strength. It comes in pints. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Batch 151, Oktoberfest. Not too late, but finally getting around to brewing an Oktoberfest. This is similar to last year's recipe. With some modifications from notes from that batch - slightly lighter color, add some wheat for head retention, and use a bigger yeast pitch. I used the Bohemian Lager again, same as last year, but bought 2 new packs and made a starter. OG: 1063, 1062 actual. 10 lbs crystal 60. 1 oz Magnum, 60 minutes. 2 tsp Irish Moss, 15 minutes.

It comes in pints. Monday, March 23, 2015. Batch 165, Vienna Altbier. Vienna Altbier - American Amber Ale (10B). 1052 - 1.056 actual. Calories (per 12 oz.). Total grain: 23.125 lb. Munich Malt - 10L. Sugar, Table (Sucrose). Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L. Wyeast - London Ale III. Add 10.000 lb Munich Malt - 10L, 10.000 lb Vienna Malt, 1.000 lb White Wheat Malt, to the mash tun. Add 7875 gal water at 131.908 F to mash to bring it to 122.000 F. Hold for 25.000 min. Stop boiling the wort. Friday, March 20, 2015.

It comes in pints. Monday, October 16, 2017. Batch 206, Leeser. Anyway, a 10 gallon batch of Leeser, pretty straightforward. Mashed at 146F for 60 minutes, adjusted pH to 5.2, recirc (vorlauf, for you German speakers) for 10 minutes each sparge, collected 12.5 gallons in the boil kettle. 15 oz Magnum, 60 minutes. 2 tsp Irish Moss, 15 minutes. 3 oz Saaz, 5 minutes.
