iTeach@MWE: May 2010
http://iteachmwe.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 23, 2010. Our year in pictures. Looking back on this year. It was instrumental in creating a leveled playing field for our special education students. We had several successful experiences with the students and the recognition they gained from the classmates was invaluable! As our expertise grew so did our ideas. We used the technology in ways we had never even thought of! The possibilities keep growing as we learn more about what it can help us do for our students. Monday, May 17, 2010.
iTeach@MWE: June 2009
http://iteachmwe.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. Using iTouch to teach 5th grade. Our design for implementation has three basic parts:. Use of the iTouch as a classroom resource. Creation of podcasts to share what we learn with others. And mentoring younger students to cement our learning by teaching it to someone else. We are looking forward to implementing these ideas and many more during this school year. Please come back often to see what we have tried! ITeach, therefore i am. In this way, students won’t have to remembe...

Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Thursday, December 3, 2009. Learning with the itouch. Spreading our enthusiasm - what we want to do next. Future plans: Which we do not have any problems coming up with ideas, the problem lies in finding the time to implement! Here are just a few:. Recruiting parents to help supervise “Lightbulb lab” so that students can work on projects throughout the day when work is completed. Having students record book club conversations with itouch devices then sharing with others. Th...
iTeach@MWE: What we have learned
http://iteachmwe.blogspot.com/2010/05/what-we-have-learned.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. What we have learned. What a year of learning we have had! We learned that the iTouch can be used as a hand-held internet research device for such things as diagrams of the heart, biographies, and animals. Plus we have found over 100 great apps that we have introduced to our fifth graders that relate to our curriculum and they LOVE them! May 20, 2010 at 1:39 PM. Thank you for your diligence with managing the iPod Touches! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our year in pictures.
iTeach@MWE: Talking it up!
http://iteachmwe.blogspot.com/2010/05/talking-it-up.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. March: This month was spent saving the files- jpeg and movie files onto the server so that they could be accessed by multiple computers. The jpeg files were easy to open however the movie files- avi, mpeg were a little trickier. The Dell laptops would not easily open the files. Students also continued to browse through scrapbooks looking for photos. Student interviews were informally arranged on the playground area and at lunch. Once again the flip cameras were used.

Monday, May 20, 2013. March/April reflection - Online PLN experience. For my online PLN experience, I participated in the FETC Virtual Leadership Summit. My favorite pieces of take-away information came from the "Technology Smackdown" session. I loved the web tools that John Kuglin shared. Some I had heard of before, like Popcorn Maker. Which allow you to layer audio, video, web links, and text to make a very interactive product. One I had not heard about yet was knovio. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
