Somebody got on a mission to prove that wine snobs are all full of shit, and then did a ‘study’ to prove it, and now it’s all over my goddamn Facebook, and I am sick of it. I THINK ABOUT THIS STUFF. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Put a 10-inch cast iron skillet in the oven and heat the oven to 400 degrees F. 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour. 1 ½ cups corn meal. Sugar (or less, if you prefer; we prefer sweet cornbread. 4 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt (or less, if you prefer). 2 cups milk (we prefer low-fat or skim, but you might not). Vegetable oil (we prefer canola). Chopped green chile (fresh is best but frozen is fine. Corn kernals (fresh is best but frozen is fine).
